Our film Onna is a short psychological horror film, referencing the Japanese horror legend ‘Kuchisake-Onna’, which features a young woman being plagued in her house on Halloween Night by a mystic and unnatural force. Onna is an award winning film, winning ‘Best Film’ at The Unit’s ‘Fright Week’, and also being Officially Selected for the 2023 GASP! Horror Film Festival.

Our Wild West short film ‘Tween Two Massacres is based in the world of ‘Once Upon a Time in Frickley’, and had its own very successful festival run. It was Officially Selected at a great number of festivals, and was nominated for a number of awards, such as ‘Best Cinematography’ at Screen Power, and was a Finalist for ‘Best Short Film’ at Big Fridge International Film Festival, LIT Laughs International Comedy Film Festival, and LIT Scares International Horror Film Festival.

Our comedy mockumentary short film, A Little Tone Deaf, features some of the characters seen in Heraldry Paranormal, as they try to create a re-enactment film of a murder that took place in the 50’s, to hilariously catastrophic results. A Little Tone Deaf will be available to watch on YouTube very shortly.

An amateur comedy short film, made many years ago when we were still finding our feet in the world of film, with no budget, skills, or industry knowledge, Fruby + Skitella still has a strong place in our hearts at Noisy Red Cinema. Available on YouTube, this 40 minute, technically imperfect adventure is a cute, fun little time, providing little sense, but plenty of laughs.

An eery tale in this Horror short film. Again on Halloween Night, a running theme for our horror short films it seems, a young couple are disturbed by unsettling Trick or Treaters, offering them cupcakes. This film mixes the dread instilled by unsettling encounters with strangers, alongside otherworldly and supernatural ideas. A real mash-up. Frosting currently sits in post-production, awaiting a release.

No short film left behind we say, and that includes the ones you make when you’re still 15 years old and in high school. A silly little film made amongst young friends with a love of film, and a desire to one day be filmmakers, this comedy Western was made over three days when these friends grabbed their camcorders, put together whatever costumes they could find, and got to filming. It’s the film equivalent of watching a family home video, but it’s nonetheless on YouTube and available to watch.
